ZenAlgo - Avenger

ZenAlgo - Avenger is a next-generation multi-layered TradingView indicator that fuses advanced volume analytics, trend-following EMAs, average price comparison, and price-volume profiling. It's engineered to help traders visually identify key areas of interest, momentum shifts, and potential reversals with cumulative data from both spot and perpetual markets.

What Does Avenger Show?

The indicator displays a range of overlays and symbols, each encoding crucial market data:

  • Delta Bands: Show net buy/sell volume pressure, scaled around price
  • EMA Ribbons: Visualize short-to-mid-term trend with six dynamic moving averages
  • Crossover Symbols: Mark significant momentum shifts and trend changes
  • AVG Line: Represents a rolling “fair value” anchor
  • Divergence Labels: Early warnings of potential trend reversals or continuations
  • POC / nPOC Levels: Highlight price zones of highest traded volume
  • Contextual Markers: Flag notable conditions (not trade signals)

Let's break down each element and how to use them 👇

Chart Visuals & Their Interpretation

1. Delta Band (Volume Pressure Overlay)

  • What: Semi-transparent colored band above/below price, wrapping candles
  • Colors:
    • Teal / Cyan = Net buying pressure (positive delta)
    • Purple = Net selling pressure (negative delta)
  • Interpretation:
    • Wide band → Strong directional imbalance (momentum or absorption)
    • Narrow band → Indecision, consolidation, or low volume
  • Contextual Markers:
    • Large diamond shapes appear on spike bars (extreme volume delta events, ~80% of recent max)
Tip

Wide delta bands combined with price touching key support/resistance levels often signal zones of heightened risk—watch for absorption or reversal!

2. EMA Ribbon (Trend Overlay)

  • What: Six layered Exponential Moving Averages (EMA 13, 21, 28, 36, 45, 56) hugging price
  • Colors:
    • Turquoise/Cyan tint = Recent bullish crossover (EMA1 > EMA6)
    • Purple = Recent bearish crossover (EMA1 < EMA6)
  • How to Use:
    • When all EMAs align and fan out, the trend is strongest
    • Sudden color change or “twist” suggests trend transition
  • Crossover Symbols:
    • Upward triangle = EMA1 crosses above EMA6 (bullish momentum shift)
    • Downward triangle = EMA1 crosses below EMA6 (bearish shift)
    • Symbol appears slightly offset from price for clarity
Did you know?

Multiple EMAs sloping in the same direction is a classic confirmation of trend health—use higher timeframe EMAs for added confidence!

3. AVG Line (Fair Value Reference)

  • What: Thick purple line showing average price over last 100 bars (not a moving average, but a rolling mean)
  • Label:
    • “AVG: [price] Dist: [percent]%” — Shows distance from current price to AVG
  • Use Cases:
    • If price deviates far above/below AVG, watch for mean reversion or exhaustion
    • Acts as a soft support/resistance anchor

4. EMA6 vs AVG Crossover Symbols

  • Symbols:
    • Large upward triangle = EMA6 crosses above AVG (with rising slope)
    • Large downward triangle = EMA6 crosses below AVG (with falling slope)
    • Color-matched: Teal for bullish, Purple for bearish
  • Meaning:
    • Indicates a major potential trend change when confirmed by slope

5. Divergence Markers

  • Labels:
    • “R” = Regular divergence (price makes new high/low, delta doesn't confirm)
    • “H” = Hidden divergence (price retraces, delta shows counter strength)
  • Placement:
    • Tiny label at pivot high/low, color-matched:
      • Red down label = bearish divergence
      • Green up label = bullish divergence
  • Usage:
    • Regular divergence often signals weakening momentum
    • Hidden divergence suggests continuation
Caution

Divergences should never be used in isolation! Confirm with trend, context, and key levels before acting.

6. POC & nPOC Levels (Volume Profile Lines)

  • POC:
    • Red horizontal line (usually dotted) at price with highest traded volume for the period
  • nPOC:
    • Muted/faded red line and label (e.g., “1.24 nPOC”) = historic Point of Control that price has not yet revisited
    • Label shrinks/fades after being touched by price (visually “spent”)
  • Interpretation:
    • Untested nPOCs can act as magnets for price—expect retests!
    • Clustered POC/nPOCs may create strong support/resistance zones

7. Contextual Markers (Delta/Trend Crossovers)

  • Tiny green label below bar: Delta crosses above its moving average, cumulative delta supports uptrend (potential long interest)
  • Tiny red label above bar: Delta crosses below MA, cumulative delta supports downtrend (potential short interest)
  • Filters:
    • Only shown if volume is high and/or EMA6 confirms trend
    • Markers do not appear in quick succession (signal cooldown)
  • Role:
    • Visual “heads up” for potential opportunities, never direct trade advice

Example Chart Reference

Refer to the example image at the top for real-world visual mapping:

  • Cyan/Purple bands wrap the price — delta pressure
  • Layered moving averages fan out or twist color on trend shift
  • Triangles/diamonds flag important crossovers or delta spikes
  • POC/nPOC lines/labels at right margin — target/anchor zones

How To Best Use Avenger

  • Combine with higher timeframe context for optimal entries
  • Use delta spikes as caution zones, especially if price is at a POC/nPOC
  • Treat divergence markers as early warnings, not trade setups
  • Use AVG line for mean reversion trades or trend continuation confirmation
  • nPOC levels are great targets for partial profits or bounces

Disclaimers & Limitations

  • Delta is estimated using price structure (bodies/wicks), not exchange-reported buyer/seller splits — this is an approximation.
  • Volume data aggregates across several major exchanges; may be incomplete if data unavailable.
  • Markers/labels are diagnostic only — not trade signals!
  • On very illiquid coins or low-volume timeframes, readings may be unreliable.
Warning

Never rely solely on Avenger for trading decisions! Use it as a diagnostic and research tool, in combination with your own strategy, risk management, and market experience.

Final Thoughts

ZenAlgo Avenger brings a unique edge by integrating volume delta, trend context, divergences, and volume profiling—all in a single, highly visual overlay. While no single indicator should dictate your trades, Avenger is designed to be the “heads-up display” for serious price action analysis.

Power Tip

Experiment with different settings (MA type, volume filters, signal cooldowns) to best suit your trading timeframe and asset. The power lies in customization and contextual awareness.
